About Me!
Mariah Batten is a singer, choreographer, actor, director, and teacher. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Theatre performance and Dance & Choreography degree. She is involved with SPARC, a performing arts school, where she has assisted shows for their mainstage theatre as well as the Live Art show. Mariah has been featured in various commercials, films, and TV shows with production companies such as Fox 21 Television Studios, Workaholic productions, EYE Productions, Fresh Level Productions and Americano Studios. Mariah co-founded Radiation Studios, a production company that focuses a tight lens on inspired art through film, Chekhov, and a cappella. She has sung with various performing artists such as, Marquee Five, Dan Pardo, Sara Bareilles, Jason Maraz, Josh Groan, Rayvon Owen, MILCK, and Hanson. She competed in the 2016 International Thespian Festival at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, placing 1st in the nation for I.E. Musical Theater Duet. Along with being a performer, Mariah teaches the Michael Chekhov acting technique and is a National Michael Chekhov Certified Teacher. Mariah is a proud alum of VCU’s premier a cappella group, The Ramifications. She was a premier vocalist as well as primary choreographer, treasurer, and creative director. The Ramifications compete in the ICCA competition where they have been to Finals and received many awards including Best Choreography which Mariah received. Mariah is currently working full-time in the fashion industry as a stylist, manager, and buyer for a Nashville boutique.
